A Content Writer is an exceptional copywriter, content manager and a great marketer. You are a content strategist / writer who is more than a copywriter. We need a storyteller, a design thinker, and a guardian of the user experience who meets business needs with clear, consistent, and compelling content. You should be highly passionate about creating innovative content packages that seamlessly align with both the client’s needs and Smartly Built’s editorial voice.

This individual is passionate about creating the best customer experience across our digital platforms. You contribute in a team to take on business success needs. We believe in a collaborative working style with a bias towards rapid development, experimentation and a strong curiosity for our customers and their needs.

You have an amazing ability to work in a startup culture and take on new challenges as needed.

  • Proven ability to produce creative content in a variety of complicated business topics.
  • Plan and write product specific content for web and mobile (interaction flows, emails, product messaging). Choose subject matter that intrigues readers.
  • You will write product guides, product tips, customer guides, white papers, training materials, blog posts, and other relevant content needed for a startup.
  • Turn global product requirements into a clear and engaging story for our customers (across all touch points including micro-content, UI labels, emails and long-form copy).
  • Have an ability to create relevant content for beginners and intermediate targets. Building content for advance targets will be a bonus.
  • Assist with creating content for marketing - social posts, post email templates. Collaborate with design partners to influence content layout and visual design of your content.
  • Powerpoint development with strong skills to build illustrative diagrams.
  • Absolute expert in Google Documents, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Graphic design skills a definite plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional copywriting, communication and time management skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with quality driven deliverables in documents, reports and sheets.
  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student studying journalism or communications. Must have a passion for writing.
  • Any prior experience with building, publishing and managing content in a plus.
  • Extremely self-motivated; able to identify opportunities for improvement, and tackle them without external direction.
  • 3 months internship.
  • Possibility to convert to Full Time position.
  • Review and guidance for content experts including book author.
